Intraoral Cameras

Our intraoral camera looks like an oversized pen, and the thin tip is able to capture high-resolution images of your teeth and gums we can put on a large, nearby monitor. This enables our team to show you exactly what we’re seeing so that we’re always on the same page concerning your dental health. We won’t just tell you about an issue—we’ll show it to you for your peace of mind!

All-Digital Dental X-Rays

About one-third of your teeth is covered by your gums, and this hidden area can be the site for all sorts of issues, like cavities, infections, and even cancer. To make sure that we don’t miss anything, we regularly take digital dental X-rays. Compared to traditional film, these are much faster, show much more detail, and also emit just a small fraction of the radiation.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

3 D cone beam imaging system with screens showing models of the teeth and jaws

With our 3D cone beam scanner, we’re able to see the entire landscape of your dental anatomy in a single image. Standing in the device, it quickly takes several images from many angles, and these are pieced together into one, highly detailed model that includes your teeth, jaws, facial bones, and more. This can help us establish a baseline for your oral health when you come to see us the first time, and it can also allow Dr. Rivera to better plan for more advanced procedures, like dental implant placement.

Digital Dental Impression System

Taking an impression of a patient’s mouth used to involve them biting into messy dental putty, which wasn’t pleasant for them or us! That’s why we now use 100% digital dental impressions. In about five minutes, we can scan the teeth and generate a perfect model of the bite that we can send to the lab. With this approach, there’s no mess, no gagging, and no time wasted on retakes.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Our soft tissue laser allows us to treat the gums more effectively and gently than ever before. Using a beam of light, it’s able to remove harmful oral bacteria and infected tissue while generating virtually no heat, sound, or vibration. This means the patient basically doesn’t feel anything while in the chair. And, it also allows Dr. Rivera to provide quick and painless frenectomies to fix annoying lip and tongue-ties.
